Sleaford Striders is an Athletics Club based at Sleaford Golf Club, Willoughby Road, Greylees, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 8PL.
Founded in 1984 and affiliated to England Athletics, we are a small friendly club for all abilities aged 8 and above.
Adults meet every Thursday night from 6:30pm for social running, jogging and walking (and a cheeky drink after!). We are a very social club who welcome new members of all abilities.
There are a wide range of abilities so don’t think that you won’t fit in because you are too fast or slow, we will find a group that will suit your pace.
For those who are interested in doing a little more, there are also a number of training sessions run by members (all UKA qualified) during the week.
Adult membership is only £35 per year (from 1st April).

“Having ran on my own, on and off, for a few years I was looking for some extra motivation and to improve my race times. I was reluctant to join a running club at first because I thought that everyone would be faster than me.
Having emailed Striders and received a really friendly response I thought I would give them a try. Within a few weeks I knew that it was the club for me. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming. The best part is on race days having the support of a team who celebrate everyone’s achievements whether they win, beat a PB or just finish. I would recommend the club to anyone.”

“Striders is more than a running club, it has become my extended family. I am not a fast runner but the encouragement and support I have received has taken me on a journey from my first 10k race to running 2 marathons.”
